We are extremely carefully selecting and working with a very few farmers, mostly based in our local area, using farms that use regenerative practices.
We both live and work in the Lake District and farming here is a massive part of life. We want to be able to visit our farms, see the animals we will pick for you to eat and most importantly speak to the farmers. We want to know what the animals have been fed, and what sort of lifestyle they have lived. Have they been outdoors, grazing freely as nature intended?
Meet our farms
The Beaumonts are a farming family who having taken over the family farm completely changed the farming system they were using when they started to realise the issues it was causing. They started to farm only cattle, that were out on the fell all year long. No wintering in sheds was needed because they chose hardy native breeds that can handle the British mountain weather.
They have seen huge progress in regeneration of the land they farm, improving biodiversity of the ecosystems whilst producing meat that is completely pasture for life. It is a beef that tastes different to the standard grain fed beef you buy in most supermarkets and many butchers. There is a genuine melt in your mouth sweetness to it that has to be tasted to be believed.
