What are they and what do you actually get when you order one?
We call them thrive boxes because we believe that wild venison is such a nutrient dense source of protein that it is a great food to help people thrive.
Our aim is to help you thrive not survive.
These boxes come in two sizes – Large (7kg of meat) and Small (3.5kg of meat).
They contain a variety of cuts of Wild Venison, sourced from the Lakeland Fells.
Our master butcher, Rob has carefully worked out how to provide you the best value for money in each box, whilst using cuts that fit into the busy lives of you guys out there.
Especially those of you getting after it in the gym or on the sports field.
So what type of cuts will be in your box?
The following is what you get in a large box (simply halve the quantities for a small box):
Diced Venison, 2x400g packs – Ideal for the slow cooker stew or a wild texan chilli.
Wild Venison and redcurrant sausages, 3x350g packs – These are a wild alternative to the traditional pork sausage. Made of venison, some added pork fat from outdoor raised pigs and some redcurrants – delicious with some luxury mash and gravy.
Venison Burgers, 3 packs of 2 – Everyone’s favourite for a summer BBQ. No added nasties in these burgers and gluten free. We love them in a bun or naked, cheese on top with some hand cut potato wedges. Lush.
Venison Mince, 4x300g packs – Our wild mince is perfect for stalkers pie (shepherds or cottage pie alternative), chilli, bolognese or for a nice simple Scottish tatties ‘n’ mince.
Loin Fillet Steaks, 2x250g – The most tender and prized cut of venison. Two thick cut, tender steaks.
Stir Fry Steak Strips, 3x350g packs – Tender steak cut into strips perfect for stir fry or chunky chilli.
Venison Prime Medallions, 4x125g packs – Another premium cut of steak, from the haunch.
Haunch Steaks, 2x200g – These are great everyday steaks. Delicious with hand cut wedges or with a salad in the summer.
